In practice...

You bring your own bicycle and together we kit it out with our sound system... Within about twenty minutes, the bike is transformed into a buzzing Cyclophone ready to be let loose in the urban space. The simplicity of the process allows those with experience to easily replicate and share it, and form new teams

How it works

The basis of the electro-acoustic system is borrowed from «Cyclo-dynamo», and it consists in transforming the dynamo’s electrical signal into audible frequency.

With the first turn of the pedal, it’s magic... the speakers start humming. Once in the saddle, speed will have an effect on the production of electricity and thus modulate the sounds, going from high to low. And to stop it? One simple action is all it takes!

Street workshops & hosting groups

All the cyclists at the event are invited to equip their ride with our help and our equipment. Over the course of the day, the Cyclo-phones multiply and scatter across the landscape colouring it with their gentle hum.
